Dr Das completed his bachelor's and master's degrees from Rajasthan University of Health Sciences, India. While training as an Anesthetist, he was inspired to develop his interest and skills in Pain Management. After completing his master's in Anesthesia, he completed higher speciality pain training under Dr Rajkumar (Director, Pain management, Medanta-the Medicity, Gurugram, NCR) and in Daradia, India. He also completed the prestigious EDPM examination from the European Pain Federation.
Currently, Dr Das is a Consultant in Pain Management at Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust, based at Amersham, Wycombe, and Stoke Mandeville Hospital. Before joining Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust, he was a Consultant in Acute and Chronic pain at Yeovil Hospital, Somerset Foundation Trust. He was instrumental in starting the acute and chronic pain service there and was the lead for Pain management services.
