Foot and Ankle Pain

services

The foot and ankle are complex structures consisting of 28 bones and 33 joints. Most foot or ankle pain is temporary and usually arises from soft tissue injuries, such as sprains or strains. These injuries generally heal gradually with simple self-care measures.

However, several potential causes of long-term pain in and around the feet or ankles exist, including poorly fitting footwear, osteoarthritis, inflammatory arthritis, connective tissue diseases, poor blood circulation, nerve damage, etc. Further investigation and treatment may be necessary if you are unable to manage the pain independently or if you have a condition that might impact your joints or soft tissue.
